Google Stitch is a design assistant from Google Labs that helps you create UI screens using simple prompts. You can type what you want, like “a weather app with a clean layout”, or upload a sketch or screenshot. Stitch then generates a full UI mockup, with code and design elements.
The tool uses Google’s Gemini model to handle both text and image inputs. It gives you multiple layout options and lets you export the designs directly to Figma. You can also copy the generated HTML and CSS for use in your own projects.
Stitch is still experimental, so results may vary. Some users say it’s great for early mockups, while others feel the output needs cleanup. It’s best for quick ideas, wireframes, and design inspiration, not full production-ready designs.
Google Stitch is free to try through Google Labs and works in the browser.
